Duties:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
• Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and preparing dishes according to established standards
• Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
• Ensure that food is cooked properly and served at the right temperature
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
• Monitor food stock levels and inform the supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a culinary or food service role is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent knife skills for food preparation
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
