Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic food service operation, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared efficiently and safely. Prior experience in fine dining, catering, or the food industry is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of food safety standards and meal presentation. This position is essential for delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining our reputation for culinary excellence. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure timely service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage Ensure all food safety regulations are followed during food preparation and service Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other utensils Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple orders simultaneously Assist with plating dishes attractively for presentation in line with restaurant standards Contribute to inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the culinary team Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a dietary aide in a restaurant or food service environment Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures Experience with menu planning, catering, or fine dining is preferred Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance A passion for culinary arts and delivering high-quality dishes to guests
