Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Prep Cook, you will assist in the preparation of ingredients, maintain food safety standards, and contribute to the overall success of our restaurant. Responsibilities Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures. Support chefs and other kitchen staff by helping with various cooking tasks as needed. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to management. Ensure all food items are stored properly to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage. Experience Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential. Basic knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques are advantageous.
