Opens a new window. Come Join the Dordt Dining Team! Creative Dining Services located on the Dordt University campus in Sioux Center, IA is looking to hire a full-time AM Cook to work Monday

• Friday plus weekend rotation.

The Cook ensures that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided in a safe manner. The Cook works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team. Come and be creative! Each day is different and exciting!

Core Responsibilities:

• Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus
• Utilize safe food handling techniques at all times
• Store food items according to established standards of practice
• Maintain food production records and temperature logs
• Follow established work rules and regulations; ready for work in the kitchen, in uniform, at the scheduled time
• Maintain a safe,tidyand well-organized work environmentat all times
• Communicate needs and concernsregardingfood production and kitchen operation to supervisor appropriately andin a timely manner

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• ServSafe Certification preferred
