In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the delivery of nutritious, flavorful meals while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Your culinary skills and experience in dietary and food service environments will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our clients and residents. Duties Assist with menu planning by preparing diverse and appealing meal options tailored to dietary needs Prepare, cook, and serve meals following established recipes and food safety guidelines Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices are maintained at all times Support dietary department operations by assisting with food presentation and portioning Contribute to catering events by preparing and serving food in a professional manner Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to uphold health standards Serve meals to residents or customers with friendly, attentive service that enhances their dining experience Experience Prior experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred Proven background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper kitchen sanitation practices Hands-on experience with meal preparation, catering, and serving in fast-paced environments Strong knife skills and culinary techniques that support efficient meal production Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food industry standards for quality control Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and ensure smooth kitchen operations
