Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or restocking needs Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality control throughout the cooking process Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on customer feedback Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within restaurants or food industry environments Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team Familiarity with catering, meal preparation, and serving processes enhances versatility in this role Embark on a culinary journey that values your expertise, energizes your workday, and rewards your dedication.
