Part-Time Cook

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable cook to support our team and ensure our residents enjoy nutritious and delicious meals. If you have a passion for food service and enjoy working in a community-focused setting, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents' preferences
• Assist with meal planning and ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are maintained
• Support the lead cook and provide relief coverage as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
• Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs and requests
• Ensure timely delivery of meals to residents and assist with meal service and clean-up
• Hours are between 14-20 per week, with opportunities for more!

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Requirements Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licenses/Certification:

ServSafe Food Safety Certification required. Food Handlers permit if required per state regulations.

Experience:

One year experience in large quantity food preparation. Experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred. Six months experience in a long term care or senior living environment preferred.

NOTE:

Federal Child Labor Laws do not permit employees younger than 18 years of age to work with or repair, adjust, or clean power-driven machines such as meat slicers and commercial mixers. Therefore, individuals must be at least 18 years of age to be employed in this position.
