  • Full-time The Chick & The Pig is a Fried Chicken and BBQ restaurant in Algonquin! We recently expanded into a full service bar and dining, along with catering We are looking for line cooks to help prepare and package takeout orders, dine in orders and catering orders.
  • Looking for an experienced employee to work the day/evening/& night shift 25-40 hrs per week available
  • Must be available to work weekend shifts.
Saturdays are a must! Must provide a food handlers and/ or food managers certificate within 7 days of hire date.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the chef in preparing and cooking meals
  • Preparing and packing up meals for takeout, dine in and catering
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as necessary
  • Assist with food storage and inventory management
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Cleaning of equipment and basic daily cleaning duties to maintain a clean and sanitary workspace.
Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
