The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the preparation of high-quality meals for our customers. Prior experience in dietary departments, food service, or culinary settings is highly valued, along with strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling procedures. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist with meal preparation and cooking on the prep line, ensuring timely delivery of dishes Follow food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area Support menu planning and portion control to ensure consistency and quality Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures Assist in catering events or special meal services as needed Maintain organized workstations and ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used and cleaned Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences Skills Experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food industry settings preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly Proficiency in menu planning and food presentation Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and teamwork orientation Previous restaurant, catering, or culinary experience is a plus This role is essential for maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while supporting the overall operation of our culinary services.
