Part-Time / Full-Time About Dreamland Galaxy Dreamland Galaxy is a brand-new family entertainment center in Bradley, Illinois featuring a large indoor playground, VR arcade, birthday parties, attractions, and a family café. We are looking for dependable, energetic team members who enjoy working in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment. This is not a traditional cook position. Our menu is designed for efficiency and consistency, with most food items being prepared using commercial ovens, air fryers, warming equipment, and food preparation stations. Responsibilities Prepare food according to company recipes and procedures Operate air fryers, ovens, warming equipment, and food preparation stations Prepare pizzas, snacks, appetizers, desserts, and beverages Operate cotton candy, ice cream, and other food service equipment Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control standards are met Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen Wash dishes and kitchen utensils as needed Restock inventory and notify management of low inventory levels Follow all Illinois food safety and sanitation requirements Assist with party food orders and large event preparation Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Food service experience preferred but not required Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety Reliable transportation Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Must pass a background check Must obtain or maintain required food handler certifications Slip-resistant shoes are required while working in the kitchen Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurants, cafés, entertainment venues, or quick-service restaurants Experience preparing food in a fast-paced environment Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification (not required but preferred) What We Offer Competitive pay Flexible scheduling Employee discounts Advancement opportunities Fun and family-friendly work environment Opportunity to grow with a brand-new entertainment center Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, takes pride in cleanliness, follows procedures, and can remain calm during busy periods.
