Lead Line Cook

One Allegiance is a thriving brewpub in the southwest suburb of Chicago Ridge, seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Line Cook to join our kitchen crew. This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, takes pride in delivering high-quality food and maintaining strong kitchen standards. The Lead Line Cook will help oversee daily line operations, support and train kitchen staff, and ensure consistency, cleanliness, and efficiency throughout service. Responsibilities Lead and support line cooks during prep and service Prepare ingredients for cooking a successful service Cook and plate menu items according to recipe, portion, and presentation standards Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper execution across all stations Assist with training kitchen staff on all stations (pizza, grill, fryer, dish) Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace at all times Delegate prep lists, monitor inventory levels, and communicate product needs to Owner Step into any station as needed to support the team and maintain smooth operations Skills Proven experience as a Line Cook, with supervisory kitchen experience preferred Bonus for candidates with Neapolitan-style or general pizza experience Ability to lead by example and work effectively in a team environment Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Excellent communication and time management skills Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure Dependable, punctual, and motivated with a strong work ethic
