The Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center of St. Clair County is located in East St. Louis, IL. The Center has been in operation since 1957 serving the needs of children, adolescents, and adults. Our mission is to provide quality individualized essential services for people in need of emotional, rehabilitative and social support. Cook's Description :
This is an opportunity to show your culinary skills and passion in caring for others. Knowledge, skills and abilities : Knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices. Familiarity with menu planning and catering concepts Ability to use kitchen tools and equipment effectively Ability to work while standing for most of the workday Experience in fine dining establishments is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects such as kitchen equipment and food products Ability to work as a team member Cook's Duties Prepare and cook meals according to the planned menus Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards Follow proper food handling procedures and regulations Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment Cook Reports to :
Food Service Manager Requirements :
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent At least one year of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen setting Food handler certificate or earn the certificate with 30 days of hire
Hours :
Up to 40 hours per week. Applicants must be flexible to work evenings, and some weekends. No nights are required.
