Job Description

Love helping others? Love gaining new skills? Love working with a company that cares? The Kensington is seeking a qualified full time evening shift Cook for our beautiful retirement community. We desire individuals who have a passion for helping people, who thrive in a team environment, and who want to make a difference all while advancing their skills. We offer wages from 15.00 to 16.00 per hour. If this sounds like you, please apply below.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Prepare nutritious, palatable and appetizing meals and snacks by following seasonal menus, spreadsheets, standardized recipes, mechanically altered diets and menu preference sheets. 2. Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures according to facility policies and procedures and local, state and federal guidelines. 3. Serve meal(s) at designated serving times utilizing Meal Tray Tickets. 4. Follow proper portion control during meal preparation and service and avoid food waste. 5. Follow proper procedure for washing Cook's dishes in 3 compartment sink and dish machine. 6. Keep work area clean and organized throughout shift, and follow cleaning schedule assigned for the position. 7. Prepare food items for special events and activities as assigned. 8. Provide excellent customer service to all residents, staff and visitors. 9. Maintain a professional attitude by showing respect and being a positive productive member of the Dining Services team. 10. Perform other specific job duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or G.E.D.
Experience:
One-year experience in food service setting.
Requirement:
