This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dietary services, focusing on food preparation, menu planning, and overall food safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to providing high-quality food service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist in menu planning and development to meet dietary needs and preferences. Prepare meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness. Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service. Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality. Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering when necessary. Provide support in training new staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Skills Dietary department experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of dietary needs. Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a similar role within the food industry. Proficient in menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques. Strong food handling skills with knowledge of food safety regulations. Experience in restaurant or kitchen environments is highly desirable. Culinary experience with demonstrated knife skills and cooking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and clients effectively.
