Responsibilities Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, measuring, and assembling ingredients with precision and care. Prepare baked goods and pastries, including cake decorating and pastry presentation, ensuring visual appeal and quality standards are met. Package food items efficiently for takeout, catering orders, or delivery while maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols. Support food production processes by following recipes, portioning ingredients accurately, and maintaining consistency across dishes. Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards. Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to prevent spoilage or contamination. Assist with basic cooking tasks under the supervision of head chefs or kitchen managers to ensure timely service during busy hours. Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and supporting overall kitchen operations. Uphold excellent customer service standards by ensuring that all food handling practices meet industry regulations and guest expectations. Qualifications Prior experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry work is highly desirable; culinary school or pastry training is a plus. Demonstrated skills in cake decorating, baking, and food presentation techniques. Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper handling practices within the food industry. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen tools and equipment. Experience in food production environments such as restaurants, catering services, or bakeries. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A positive attitude with a passion for culinary arts and customer satisfaction. Reliable team player committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality.
