In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to perfection, and assisting in menu execution to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Your culinary skills and attention to food safety will contribute to a vibrant kitchen environment that values teamwork, creativity, and efficiency. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise while supporting the overall success of our food service operation. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards Cook a variety of menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations Support menu planning by suggesting improvements and new dish ideas based on customer feedback Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and special catering events Skills Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is advantageous Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude that fosters a positive kitchen environment
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
