Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to support the cooking process Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, garnishes, and side dishes Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients Support the cooking team by organizing supplies and maintaining a clean workspace Help with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming dishes or special events Maintain inventory levels of prep items and communicate shortages or needs to supervisors Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to health regulations and safety standards Skills Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations Proficiency in food handling, cooking, and culinary techniques including knife skills Familiarity with restaurant or food industry environments and kitchen workflows Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting service staff Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
