Full Job Description Line Cook/Prep Cook Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef
- Cook food items according to menu specifications and customer preferences
- Ensure food is prepared and cooked in a timely manner to meet service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service
Experience:
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
