Full Time Job Description Overview Schedule:
Full Time Rotating Shifts (Flex shift morning and evenings required)
Department Supported:
Nutrition Services Work Location:
North Hospital (Onsite)
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs supervised tasks related to the preparation of food. Meal preparations include regular and therapeutic diets. Utilizes foundational skills of basic cooking techniques, operates kitchen equipment and maintains a clean and organized workspace. This position will interact/serve patients and clinical staff.
Requirements:
Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment. Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc. Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption. Requires the ability to climb ladders.
Physical requirements to include:
reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.
Preferred:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred. No experience is required. Prior food service experience is preferred.
