EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Candidate should/ must: Have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent ServSafe Certification preferred At least one year of cooking experience Be able to read, write, add, subtract and figure simple mathematical equations. Demonstrate professional communication effectively with co-workers and residents. Demonstrate leadership qualities Be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers and residents
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Demonstrate the following: Time management and effective organizational skills Prepare high quality food items Manage appropriate quantity of items prepared Knowledge of correct food temperatures Be able to sub meals/items Cleanliness of food service items, equipment and fixtures Show responsibility for cleaning lists
  • Prep items for the next day, if necessary Practice proper infection control Be responsible for portion control Demonstrate proper usage of utensils Follow diet likes and dislikes Prepare substitutions utilizing leftovers when possible Attends all mandatory in-services.
We are seeking a Candidate with experience in: Proven Cooking/Creative skills Preparation of Menu items Cold Prep Baking Stock organizational skills
