GED ServSafe Food Manager Certification Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Assists the Culinary Services Director with monthly staffing scheduling of employees Attends required meetings as requested by the Executive Director and the Culinary Services Director Assists the Culinary Services Director with ordering groceries, perishables, dairy products, paper goods, chemicals, and cleaning supplies from approved vendors Continuously reviews new methods, products, procedures, and services to upgrade standards of service with approval Prepares a diverse menu that incorporates a variety of dietary preferences and accommodates for various restrictions Demonstrates dedication to high-quality dietary services while ensuring compliance to safety and sanitation protocols Maintains food service areas including the kitchen and dining areas Engages with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction Participates in continuous learning and development opportunities through attendance and participation in educational seminars, staff meetings, and other learning experiences
Qualifications:
Must hold current ServSafe Manager certification High School graduate or GED equivalent required Experience and knowledge of food service management in a health care facility is preferable Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Must demonstrate the ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity
