Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation Handle food with care, following proper food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients for service Maintain organized workstations, ensuring all tools and ingredients are readily available for efficient meal preparation Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and special catering events Practice excellent food handling techniques, including knife skills and proper storage procedures, to uphold hygiene standards Contribute to the overall food service experience by serving dishes promptly and courteously to guests or servers Skills Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, with a strong foundation in kitchen operations Demonstrated culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation methods Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility for special requests or modifications Excellent understanding of food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Experience in catering or large-scale food service environments is advantageous Effective communication skills for working seamlessly within a team-oriented kitchen environment Passion for culinary arts with a desire to learn new techniques and improve skills continually Join us as a Line Cook and bring your enthusiasm for food to life!
