Cook - Full-Time Vincennes, IN, United States
JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Job Duties:
Reviews production sheets and adjusts food preparation accordingly. Completes Prep work for next day. Plans cooking schedule in conjunction with production manager to ensure that food will be ready at specified times. Prepares, washes, trims, cooks and seasons all food items for each meal, using proper food handling techniques and storage procedures. Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes, using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers to make sauces, soups, stews, casseroles and desserts. Maintains cooking area in a clean, neat and orderly manner during and before leaving shift. Wash hands frequently and wears proper hair coverings at all times. Works position on trayline as indicated by shift. Completes all work during shift without interference in quality of work and responds to changes in workload in a productive manner. Stores and utilizes leftovers in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Attends meetings and in services. Secondary Job Duties That May be
Reassigned:
Procures foodstuff from refrigerators, freezers and other storage areas. Assists with catering functions and special cleaning projects. Help train assistants as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Job Specifications:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
1-2 year's experience in quantity food production preferred.
