Duties Prepare a variety of menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients Follow food safety and sanitation standards rigorously to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment Execute cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, roasting, and plating to meet presentation standards Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and seasonal specials Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours Maintain proper food handling procedures and adhere to dietary department guidelines when applicable Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings, demonstrating advanced knife skills and food preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices Strong skills in meal preparation, cooking, and food service operations Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving in a fast-paced environment Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and quality in food industry settings
