Handle food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, portioning, and plating dishes for service. Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals that meet specific dietary restrictions or preferences. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods and special events such as catering functions. Manage food inventory levels, monitor storage practices, and minimize waste through effective stock control. Requirements Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on kitchen operations, including restaurant or fine dining experience. Strong culinary skills with expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation. Experience working within dietary or dietary aide environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of menu planning principles and ability to adapt recipes for various dietary needs. Familiarity with food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices.
