Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation. Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating with attention to detail. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols. Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks. Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to promote safety and prevent cross-contamination. Collaborate with culinary staff to execute catering orders and special event meal preparations seamlessly. Qualifications Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment, with a strong foundation in kitchen operations. Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife handling, and meal assembly. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices. Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff. Passion for culinary arts, with a desire to learn new skills such as menu planning or catering support.
