Hiring Agency Tourism, Arts, & Heritage Cabinet | Kentucky Department of Parks Location 702 Capitol Ave Room 48 Frankfort, KY 40601 USA Description Join Our Team at Capital Annex Cafeteria Do you have a passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences? Capital Annex Cafeteria is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook II to join our food service team. We are looking for a team-oriented culinary professional who takes pride in quality food preparation, kitchen organization, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
Prepare and cook a variety of entrees and side items for lunch daily menus. Plan, prepare and deliver food for caterings to various locations in Frankfort. Coordinate daily food preparation activities and assist with kitchen operations. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained. Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Assist with inventory control, food storage, and kitchen cleanliness. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to provide excellent guest experience.
Qualifications:
Cooking experience in a commercial, institutional, hospitality, or large-scale food service environment. Ability to prepare a variety of foods in a fast-paced setting. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Dependable, team-oriented, and customer-focused. Culinary training may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
