Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic to join our team and contribute to providing exceptional food services in a dynamic environment. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering excellent service to our clients. Your culinary skills and passion for food will help create a welcoming atmosphere while supporting the overall operation of our dietary department. Responsibilities Assist with menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and dietary guidelines Prepare and cook food items using proper techniques, including knife skills and food handling best practices Support food service operations by serving meals efficiently and courteously to residents or customers Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, adhering strictly to food safety regulations Help with catering events, special meals, or dietary requests as needed Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers to prevent contamination or spoilage Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal delivery Experience Prior experience in dietary departments, food service, or culinary settings is highly preferred Hands-on experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and serving in a restaurant or food industry environment Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques Skills in meal preparation, catering, and working with diverse dietary needs Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic kitchen equipment usage Experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and teamwork skills Previous roles involving kitchen experience or dietary aide responsibilities will be considered an asset
Pay:
$22.16 - $26.69 per hour
