Banquet Cook AJS Hotels - 2.3 Louisville, KY Job Details Full-time 19 hours ago Benefits Commuter assistance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Employee discount Qualifications Entry level Full Job Description The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality food for banquet functions and special events while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety. This position works closely with the Banquet Chef and culinary team to ensure successful event execution and guest satisfaction. Work Requirements Prepare food for banquet functions according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), recipes, and established specifications. Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet events. Ensure all food meets quality, presentation, and portion standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Properly store, label, and rotate food products. Assist with inventory management and communicate product needs to supervisors. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Work collaboratively with the banquet and culinary teams to ensure timely service for all events. Support the hotel's hallmarks and service standards. Maintain a strong sense of urgency while producing quality food in a high-volume environment. Assist with kitchen cleaning, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, catering, or banquet environment preferred. Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Culinary education or equivalent experience preferred.
