Part-time Job Title:
Line Cook A line cook at Holy Grale has a passion for food and a curiosity for learning. For us, it's not all about a resume, training, or school experience. We value focus, perseverance, teamwork and sense of urgency. All the skills required to be a great cook can be taught; humility and a desire to learn are top priorities in all of our cooks.
Responsibilities/Duties :
Understand the menu and techniques needed to execute the dishes properly. Be part of a team working towards one common goal. Possess the proper tools to do the job efficiently
  • the cook must provide their own: knives and plating spoons.
Understand the importance of tasting and seasoning the food properly, no matter how simple the dish. Understand how to work with different forms of heat and cooking methods. Ability to take criticism in a positive manner, even from fellow employees. Understand and have experience using different proteins, fruits, vegetables, grains, dry goods, spices, vinegars, etc The ability to be humble and ask questions; we should learn something new every day. Keep a clean and organized work station before, during, and after service. Have knowledge of station set-up and production needs to assist sous chefs in ordering and writing prep lists for the next day. Ability to identify product quality and freshness…. or lack of freshness
Job Requirements :
Able work flexible hours (nights and/or weekends). Be responsible, dependable, and punctual. Have strong communication skills (must speak, read, and understand English.) Maintain a clean and professional appearance. Show enthusiasm for The Grales A good line cook… Understands each dish made as a direct reflection of themself, the kitchen, and the Grales. Works as a team player Understands the chefs sensibility and reasoning behind the food Has a passion for ingredients, flavors, textures, and seasoning
