A great grill cook can cook each burger to temp in the Grind style in good time. You will be able to follow instructions with little supervision as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team. Requirements Sunday availability is a must Proven experience as a line cook and grill cook Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils A team player with good communication skills Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure Very good physical condition and endurance High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 30 pounds Must be able to move quickly on foot Must be able to stand for 3+ hours at a time Repetitive bending and squatting Must be able to use a step ladder Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items on the grill or line according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food is handled safely, stored properly, and prepared in compliance with health regulations. Assist in meal preparation by chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients for various dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking station, including proper knife handling and equipment upkeep. Support the team during busy service times by efficiently managing multiple orders and ensuring timely delivery. Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure guest safety. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that meet dietary requirements and accommodate special requests. Skills Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is highly desirable. Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques are essential. Knowledge of menu planning, meal prep, and culinary techniques gained through restaurant or catering experience. Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry. Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interaction when needed.
