Do you have a passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences? Carter Caves State Resort Park is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook II to join our food service team at Tierney's Cavern Restaurant. Nestled in the beautiful hills of eastern Kentucky, Carter Caves offers guests memorable dining experiences while serving thousands of visitors from across the region each year. We are looking for a team-oriented culinary professional who takes pride in quality food preparation, kitchen organization, and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items for restaurant guests, banquets, buffets, and special events. Coordinate daily food preparation activities and assist with kitchen operations. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained. Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Assist with inventory control, food storage, and kitchen cleanliness. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to provide excellent guest experiences. Support special events, holiday buffets, weddings, conferences, and park programming.
Qualifications:
Cooking experience in a commercial, institutional, hospitality, or large-scale food service environment. Ability to prepare a variety of foods in a fast-paced setting. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Dependable, team-oriented, and customer-focused. Culinary training may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
