Weekend Cook

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in a dietary department or kitchen setting. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards and ensuring that all food handling practices are followed. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages as needed. Participate in catering events as required, providing high-quality food service to clients. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry, preferably within a dietary department or culinary setting. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Strong skills in food preparation and cooking methods, with an emphasis on quality and presentation. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques and cuisines.
