Job Description

Dietary Cook / Lead Cook Full-Time | 4 Days On / 2 Days Off Rotation At Senior Solutions Management Group, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and creating meaningful experiences for the senior residents entrusted to our care. We are currently seeking an experienced Dietary Cook / Lead Cook to join our culinary team. This is not an entry-level cooking position — we are looking for someone with strong kitchen experience, leadership ability, and a genuine passion for preparing quality meals. Schedule Full-Time Rotating Schedule:
4 Days On / 2 Days Off Weekends and holidays required as scheduled Dietary Cook / Lead Cook Responsibilities Prepare meals for regular and therapeutic diets according to planned menus and standardized recipes Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and presented with quality, consistency, and attention to detail Follow all food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures in compliance with company policies and health regulations Maintain appropriate food temperatures during preparation, holding, and service Accurately record food and equipment temperatures according to established procedures Ensure meals are served in an attractive, appetizing, and timely manner Assist with menu execution for special events, holiday meals, and resident functions Monitor food inventory and notify management of needed supplies or shortages Properly label, date, rotate, and store food items following established guidelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, prep, storage, and service areas Wash pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation procedures Support teamwork within the dietary department and assist with training or guiding kitchen staff when needed Make recommendations for improvements in recipes, menu items, kitchen operations, and food service processes Qualifications 3-5 years of professional cooking experience required Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, catering, restaurant, hotel, country club, or high-volume food service environments preferred Ability to prepare multiple menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization Ability to work independently and lead by example in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
