Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Offshore Campboss/Cook to lead culinary operations and oversee food services in an offshore environment. This vital role combines leadership, culinary expertise, and operational management to ensure the delivery of high-quality meals and a positive dining experience for crew members. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for food preparation, exceptional kitchen management skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining food safety standards. Duties Lead the dietary department by planning menus that meet nutritional standards, dietary restrictions, and crew preferences while maintaining variety and quality. Supervise and coordinate all food preparation activities, ensuring timely meal service in accordance with schedules. Manage kitchen operations including food handling, storage, sanitation, and inventory control to uphold strict food safety standards. Oversee the training and supervision of kitchen staff and dietary aides, fostering teamwork and adherence to safety protocols. Ensure compliance with all health regulations and company policies related to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety. Coordinate catering services for special events or meetings as required, ensuring high standards of presentation and service. Maintain detailed records of food supplies, preparation procedures, and safety inspections to support operational efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in dietary department roles or as a cook within the food industry, preferably with offshore or remote camp settings. Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food service operations. Demonstrated knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation for large groups in fast-paced environments. Experience with fine dining or catering is advantageous; familiarity with restaurant or culinary environments is preferred. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and record keeping.
