Responsibilities Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced, nutritious, and appealing meal options tailored to dietary needs. Prepare and cook a variety of meals, demonstrating strong knife skills and culinary techniques to deliver delicious dishes efficiently. Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe environment. Serve meals with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring timely delivery and presentation that meets quality standards. Support catering events or special occasions by assisting with food preparation and serving tasks. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to uphold health regulations and operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth meal service operations and uphold high standards of food quality. Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred. Strong background in food industry roles such as restaurant or kitchen experience, with knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service. Demonstrated skills in food handling, safety protocols, and meal preparation techniques. Familiarity with culinary practices including knife skills, food safety standards, and catering procedures. Excellent communication skills for serving guests or residents with professionalism and warmth. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
