Daytime Production Facility Cook

Job Description:

This position is a day-time hours cook position at our Production Kitchen located on St. Charles in the CBD. Aunt Sally's Pralines has immediate openings for Praline Cooks. We are a family-owned business, operating in New Orleans for over 85 years. We pride ourselves on being a diverse, respectful, fun place to work, and we are looking for reliable, dedicated people to join our team.

Daily Duties:

The cook will be assigned production by Kitchen Manager and is expected to complete all assignments daily Must be able to follow recipe without deviation After preparing candy, the cook will then dip candy onto sheet pans Accurate completion of production paperwork Maintain clean work space and kitchen

Job Requirements:

Basic arithmetic and reading comprehension Highly reliable with an excellent work ethic Excellent vision and an eye for details Ability to stand on your feet for a full eight hour shift Ability to lift up to 40lbs. Willingness to comply with all food safety requirements (hair nets, no false or painted fingernails, no jewelry, etc) Ability to learn and demonstrate established recipes and techniques Ability to work well with a diverse group of co-workers, and contribute positively to the work environment This is a full time position, with full benefits and the potential for merit based advancement.
