Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, maintaining consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dish ideas and ensuring ingredient availability. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and safety regulations. Support food preparation activities, including chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients for service. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils to ensure a safe and organized kitchen environment. Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and timely meal delivery to guests or customers. Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring all food is prepared and served efficiently. Experience Prior experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable. Demonstrated kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, with knowledge of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety standards is essential. Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking methods across various cuisines are preferred. Experience in food handling, catering, serving, or related roles that showcase your ability to work efficiently under pressure. Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to adapt recipes accordingly will be considered an asset.
