You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to prepare high-quality dishes, oversee kitchen staff, and ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. This position requires a passion for cooking, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking:
Prepare and cook menu items according to Cask & Pig's recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor line cooks, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Station Management:
Maintain an organized and clean workstation, ensuring all necessary ingredients and equipment are readily available.
Quality Control:
Monitor the quality of food during preparation and service, making adjustments as needed to meet Soco's standards.
Inventory Management:
Assist in managing inventory, including receiving deliveries, checking quality, and minimizing waste.
Training & Development:
Provide training to new kitchen staff and assist in on-going development of team members.
Compliance:
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
Certifications:
ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification preferred (not required)
Skills:
Strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication. Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a hot, fast-paced environment. Join our team as a Line Cook and contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests!
Pay:
Up to $22.00 per hour
