Job Description

Qualifications:
Experience in food preparation & management of kitchen. Knowledge of special dietary preparations. Ability to develop & change menus based on nutritional requirements. Ability to get along well with colleagues, supervisor, participants & families. Effective interpersonal skills, organizational skills,and conflict resolution skills. Experience preparing meals for 50+ people. Able to lift 20+ lbs. Must be ServSafe Certified.
Responsibilities:
Purchase/Order/Stock necessary groceries & kitchen supplies and maintain inventory on such items, which includes rotating of stock. (This includes the Pro 5 Cleaning solution & the Dishwasher detergent & rinse. Follow Menu plan and dietary restrictions, by the Dept. of Education Nutrition requirements. Prepare meals following special dietary instructions and present food to appeal to sense of taste and sight. Maintain Food Log w/preperation, portion size, and temperatures. Lable food w/date and rotate food. Keep ALL food areas clean and sanitized, which includes washing all dirty dishes, coffee pots, cookware, floor, counters, stoves, etc. Accurately mix & keep inventory of the Pro5 Solution into various strengths for cleaning by Day Care Staff & Drivers.
