About Us 1620 Winery Company started right here in Plymouth, MA. Founded in 2014, we have spent our time perfecting our wines with up to 30 different varieties. We have two locations, the Winery as our central location and a large-scale venue, along with our Wine bar. SIP @ The 1620 is a wine bar and tapas-style restaurant on the waterfront. Position We are looking for someone to cross-train in different aspects of our culinary team. Whether its helping with wedding/restaurant prep, cooking at SIP, aiding the executive chef with weddings, or making desserts, we are seeking someone who can do a bit of everything. This position will be perfect for a candidate that enjoys learning new skills and thrives in a fast paced environment. If you have culinary experience and you're looking to broaden your kitchen expertise, this is the place for you. Qualifications 3 years of experience cooking in a professional kitchen Experience working with Grill, Oven, Fry and Saute stations Knife skills and knowledge to safely use kitchen equipment Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation ServSafe Certified or will be within 30 days of initial start date Job Description Ability to execute menu, follow recipes and maintain food quality/freshness must be able to operate grill, oven, fryer, saute station and dishwasher prepare food for events, for example; par cooking meats, blanching vegetables, and creating visually appealing stationary displays such as Charcuteire boards and bruschetta platters. must be able to read and follow BEOs (banquet event orders) as well as prep lists, order guides and recipes set up, cook and serve food during events, such as stationary displays, soup, salad, bread, passed apps, plated dinners and desserts Prepare food for Sip menu, such as chicken cutlets, meatballs and lobster rangoons Keep a clean and organized work station, as well as keep all kitchen equipment clean and properly maintained Work in an organized and efficient manner Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive, upbeat, and professional approach with coworkers and customers at all times
