You will be responsible for food preparation, sanitation, and assisting with meal service, all while maintaining a positive and efficient kitchen atmosphere. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and safety standards, ensuring timely delivery of nutritious dishes. Assist with food production tasks such as chopping, portioning, plating, and assembling meals to meet quality and presentation standards. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation in compliance with health regulations. Support the dietary department by cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly to maintain a sanitary environment. Serve meals to residents with friendly customer service, ensuring their dietary needs are met with respect and kindness. Assist with bussing tables and clearing trays during meal times to facilitate smooth service operations. Adhere to all food safety protocols including sanitation practices, proper storage of ingredients, and accurate food labeling. Qualifications Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred. Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations. Strong time management skills to coordinate meal prep and service efficiently. Previous dietary aide or culinary experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward residents' needs.
