Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is handled safely, stored properly, and prepared in compliance with health regulations Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to maintain quality and consistency Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations Support food presentation and plating to enhance visual appeal for guests Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service during busy hours Follow all food safety protocols, including proper knife skills and sanitation procedures Skills Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting Knowledge of menu planning, catering, and fine dining standards Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Familiarity with food handling safety practices and sanitation regulations Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards Experience in food service, food industry roles, or culinary environments is highly desirable
