Job Description

Line Cook (on-call) 5400 Holiday Drive, Frederick, MD 21703 From $17 an hour - Temporary, Part-time From $17 an hour - Temporary, Part-time Responsible for preparing meals per our standard recipes and presentations. Responsible for creating meal portions, cleaning food, cooking meals and keeping a sanitized work station. Must understand and comply with our standards and maintain efficiency and consistency in the kitchen. Essential Job Functions Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment. Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served. Know and comply consistently with our standards, portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and Long Shot's policies and procedures. Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period. Portion food products prior to cooking according to recipe specifications. Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, sauté burners, flat top range and refrigeration equipment. Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods in accordance to recipes. Follow proper plate presentation and garnish for all plated items. Handle, store and rotate all products properly. Assist in food prep and cleaning assignments during off-peak periods as needed. Close the kitchen properly by following the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing the kitchen. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chef or Manager.
