Cook I (61951) Food Service Assistant Woodland Job Corps Center | Laurel, MD The Woodland Job Corps Center, located on 33 beautiful acres, is dedicated to helping young adults build successful futures through education, career training, and personal development. Students have the opportunity to earn their high school diploma or equivalent while receiving hands-on training in high-demand trades including Culinary Arts, HVAC, Electrical, Security & Protective Services, Landscaping, Hospitality, and Building Construction Technology. Convenient location near Fort Meade Army Base Position Summary The Food Service Assistant supports daily kitchen operations by preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and providing excellent customer service to students.
Schedule:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday 9:30am- 6:30pm,
Thursday & Friday:
OFF Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation and serving
  • Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen areas
  • Wash dishes and sanitize food prep spaces
  • Stock serving lines and transport meals
  • Engage positively with students
  • Support student supervision and Career Success Standards
  • Work collaboratively with center staff

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Degree or certification from an accredited training program preferred
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Must be able to obtain ServSafe certification "Adams and Associates, Inc.
