Overview We are seeking a skilled Pizza Cook and Fornaio (Oven worker) to join our dynamic team at farmer's markets and events. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in tending to pizzas cooking in an oven or pizza preparation, and an interest in creating delicious, high-quality pizzas. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for exceptional experiences. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for crafting pizzas from scratch, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive environment. As the oven worker you will be responsible for cooking and turning pizzas in the oven and managing the oven to ensure pizzas are cooked properly. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, ensuring consistency and quality. Handle food safely and adhere to all health and safety regulations. Assist in preparation by prepping ingredients such as dough, sauce, and toppings, and assembling boxes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the area, including equipment and workstations. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking. Provide support to staff as needed during busy service periods. Experience Previous experience in a pizza restaurant, kitchen, or food truck environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
