Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dish ideas and ensuring ingredient availability Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols Use knife skills proficiently to chop, slice, dice, and portion ingredients efficiently Support food preparation activities such as marinating, assembling, and garnishing dishes Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations when needed Follow proper food handling procedures during meal preparation and serving Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus Demonstrated culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry knowledge Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation are essential Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in handling perishable items Experience with menu planning, catering services, and serving in fast-paced settings is advantageous Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high-quality standards Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
