Overview Join our vibrant culinary team as an Ethiopian Kitchen Cook, where your passion for authentic Ethiopian cuisine and culinary expertise will shine. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing traditional dishes that celebrate rich flavors and cultural heritage. Your dedication to food quality, safety, and presentation will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and cook authentic Ethiopian dishes, including stews, injera (flatbread), vegetables, and meat dishes, ensuring adherence to traditional recipes and standards Manage food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients with precision and efficiency Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in all aspects of kitchen operations Assist with menu planning to incorporate seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while preserving cultural authenticity Ensure proper food handling, storage, and cleanliness protocols are followed at all times Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service hours Support catering events by preparing large quantities of traditional dishes with attention to quality and presentation Skills Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles, with a focus on food preparation and service Strong knowledge of Ethiopian cuisine, including traditional recipes and cooking techniques Extensive kitchen experience in fine dining or restaurant settings, demonstrating excellent knife skills and meal preparation abilities Familiarity with food industry standards for food safety, handling, and sanitation practices Ability to plan menus that balance authenticity with customer preferences Experience in catering or large-scale food service environments is a plus Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team and ensure smooth kitchen operations Join us if you're passionate about culinary excellence and eager to bring the vibrant flavors of Ethiopia to life!
