Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines. Assist with menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring consistency in dish preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Support food preparation for catering events or special functions, ensuring timely delivery of quality meals. Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other prep work required for meal assembly. Follow all food safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent food service. Qualifications Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant work, dietary aide positions, or catering is preferred. Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards. Strong culinary skills including cooking techniques and meal preparation. Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and support serving staff when needed. Willingness to learn new skills related to menu planning, food presentation, and kitchen operations.
