Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences. Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Support food handling procedures during service, including plating, garnishing, and serving dishes promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders. Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, delivering exceptional service from start to finish. Skills Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting with strong kitchen skills. Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus. Skilled in food handling, knife skills, and meal preparation techniques. Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure safe food production. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with menu planning, food service operations, and catering is highly desirable.
